Background
The Gamo Development Association (GDA) is an organization focused on fostering sustainable growth, community well-being, and economic development in the Gamo Zone through agriculture, tourism, and forestry initiatives. To support this mission, GDA needed a comprehensive digital solution that would:
- Allow members to register, contribute, and engage with the organization
- Provide administrative tools to manage members, events, donations, news, and auctions
- Present its initiatives and objectives clearly to the public
- Ultimately monitor their donations and finances in a centralised dashboard
This required designing and developing two interconnected digital platforms:
- A public-facing website for outreach
- A secure admin dashboard for internal control and member engagement
Problem
Despite their impactful initiatives, GDA faced several challenges:
a. Inefficient Member Engagement
There was no structured system for individual members to register, monitor their contributions, or participate in activities such as auctions and fundraising.
b. Administrative Bottlenecks
Internal operations such as member registration, donations, and event/news management were handled manually or through fragmented systems, leading to inefficiencies.
c. Lack of Centralized Communication
Stakeholders had difficulty accessing up-to-date information, donation reports, events, or campaigns from a single platform.

A unified digital ecosystem was designed and developed, consisting of:
Public-Facing Website
- The website promotes Gamo Development Association’s mission and initiatives in health, tourism, and forestry. It features sections like About Us, News, and Campaigns, offering transparency and updates through a CMS-powered platform that informs and engages the public.
Member Registration & Contributions
- Users can register easily to become members and access a personal dashboard to view their membership status, track monthly contributions, and review payment history. This system encourages ongoing support through transparency and self-service tools.
🛠️ Admin Dashboard (CMS)
- Dashboard Overview: Displays real-time metrics on membership, donations, and system activity.
- Member Management: Add/view members individually or in bulk, track their status, update roles.
- Donations Management: View and manage general donation entries with clear filtering.
- CMS Features: Add/edit news, events, and updates with rich content editors.
- Auction Control: View bids, add auction listings, and track member participation.
👤 Member Dashboard
- Profile Overview: Members can view and edit personal and professional details.
- Payment History: Transparency in all contributions made toward various campaigns.
- Auction Participation: Engage in real-time auctions for community tenders or goods.
Status Tracking: Members see verification status and ongoing involvement.
