HandL UTM Tracking – Landing Page Design Case Study

Background

HandL UTM Tracking is a powerful WordPress plugin that enables AI-powered UTM tracking and lead attribution. It helps marketers and site owners accurately trace the origin of their leads—across paid, organic, referral, and social channels—directly from their WordPress dashboards. While the tool itself was highly effective, its previous landing page didn’t reflect that clarity or value, making it harder for potential users to understand what made the plugin worth downloading or upgrading.

Problem

The existing landing page lacked focus. The value proposition was buried, the messaging felt generic, and there were minimal conversion opportunities. Visitors weren’t being guided effectively, and the absence of strong visual hierarchy or trust elements meant that many bounced before understanding the product's capabilities. There was also no clear distinction between the free and paid versions, which made the upgrade decision harder for users.

Solution

I designed a completely new landing page that was clean, focused, and built for conversions. I led with a bold, benefit-driven headline and supported it with concise copy and strategically placed calls to action. To build trust, I added user reviews, a Google Partner badge, and usage stats that highlight the plugin’s credibility. I also created a clear free vs. paid feature comparison section to help users evaluate their options quickly. A human-centered video section was added to give the page emotional warmth and increase engagement. Every design choice aimed to simplify the decision-making process while elevating the brand perception.

Process

I began by identifying where users were dropping off and mapping a smoother user journey from awareness to action. I established a strong visual hierarchy and used whitespace intentionally to improve clarity and focus. Every section of the landing page served a distinct purpose—from grabbing attention to reinforcing credibility, guiding comparison, and prompting conversion. I refined the flow to ensure visitors would naturally move through the page and feel supported at every stage of their decision-making.
