Custom Clothing Platform – UI/UX Case Study
Designing a Seamless Shopping and Admin Experience for a Made-to-Order Fashion Startup
Client:
Private B2B SaaS Company
Timeline:
2 weeks

Background
This project was for a new made-to-order clothing brand that was in the early stages of launching. The brand hadn’t finalized its name at the time, so I worked under the placeholder name “The Store” during design and prototyping.
The client wanted both a customer-facing online store where users could browse and design clothing, and an admin dashboard to manage products, users, and performance data.
I handled the entire UI/UX design for both sides — starting from initial research through to final visual design.

Problem
Since the platform was completely new, there was no existing product or interface to iterate on. I was responsible for shaping the first version from the ground up — ensuring it was functional, intuitive, and brand-ready.
On the customer side, the goal was to:
- Create a fluid shopping and customization journey.
- Highlight products in a stylish and engaging way.
- Integrate influencer profiles and social proof to build credibility.
On the admin side, the client needed:
- A clear overview of orders, users, and key financial metrics.
- Easy tracking of order statuses and customer activity.
- Scalable navigation and clean layout for future growth.

Solution
I designed a dual-interface system:
- A sleek, modern e-commerce experience for users to explore, customize, and purchase clothing.
- A data-driven, clean admin dashboard to help staff manage orders and track business performance.
The design emphasized clarity, responsiveness, and a consistent brand tone — even while working under a placeholder name.

Results
Although the platform hadn’t launched publicly yet, I was able to deliver:
- A fully functional customer interface with key flows designed end-to-end.
- A robust admin dashboard with real-time metrics, charts, and order tracking.
- A cohesive design system across both user groups, laying the groundwork for brand consistency.
During internal testing, the team responded positively to the simplicity and structure of both experiences. The product was ready for development and branding integration once the business finalized its identity.

Final Thoughts
This was a unique opportunity to design a digital product from the ground up, with no brand name or assets initially available. I focused on building a scalable, clean design system that would give the business flexibility once they finalized their branding.
The end result was a fully designed, development-ready platform — thoughtfully crafted for both customer delight and admin efficiency.
