Client Background

Problem

Despite AfriDATAi’s strong ambition and drive, they lacked a clear brand identity to communicate who they are and what they stand for. This made it difficult for them to differentiate themselves in a crowded tech market, contributing to a decline in market share.

The primary goals of the brand identity development were to improve brand perception, boost engagement, and increase employee understanding and advocacy of the brand.

Solution

After reviewing the completed questionnaire, I moved forward with designing logo concepts that reflect the core values of the brand—forward-thinking and data-driven solutions.

I created three minimalist logo concepts, each with a range of color options and accompanying explanations. These designs aimed to represent the company’s commitment to innovation and professionalism through subtle shape psychology.

The client selected the first logo concept along with a red monotone color scheme. Based on their feedback, I refined the design and proceeded to develop the color palette, typography systems, social media assets, marketing collaterals and comprehensive brand guidelines.

Client Reflections That Made It All Worthwhile:

Kaleb didn’t just give us a logo; he helped shape our entire brand identity. Now, when people see our brand, they immediately understand what AfriDATAi is about. That clarity has made conversations with potential clients and partners much easier. We’ve even had people say, “Wow, this looks polished!” That kind of feedback is meaningful when you're putting your work out in the world.

We also feel more confident sharing our brand. Whether on social media, through presentations, or in everyday conversations, we now have visuals and messaging we’re proud of. It gives us a stronger presence and helps us stand out, which is important in the tech space.

Kaleb was great to work with. He was kind, creative, and patient. He listened to our ideas, guided us when we needed help, and ensured the final result truly reflected who we are. His support made a big difference for us. We’re really happy with the outcome, and we’re excited to keep building our company with this strong brand as our foundation.

We would absolutely recommend Kaleb to any team looking to create a brand that’s meaningful and professional.

Brand Guidelines

To ensure consistency across all touchpoints, I delivered a comprehensive set of brand guidelines for AfriDATAI. These guidelines outlined the foundational elements of the new identity, including:

  • Logo usage: Clear instructions for primary, secondary, and monochrome logo versions, including spacing, sizing, and incorrect usage examples.
  • Color palette: A modern, versatile palette designed for both print and digital applications, balancing professional tones with visual warmth.
  • Typography system: A hierarchy of typefaces selected for clarity, readability, and brand personality—paired with usage rules for headings, body text, and captions.
  • Visual identity elements: Supporting shapes, iconography, and imagery direction that reinforce the brand’s focus on precision and quality.
  • Brand voice and tone: Guidance for written communication that reflects AfriDATAI's values—professional, modern, and approachable.
  • Application examples: Mockups and real-use visuals of business cards, social media templates, brochures, and other marketing assets to show the brand in context.

These guidelines empowered the AfriDATAI team to apply their new identity confidently across platforms—ensuring brand integrity as they scaled their marketing and outreach efforts.
